Nutek was incorporated in 1989. Based in Singapore, the company is the main design and manufacturing centre.
 
Nutek began operations from a factory located at Gul Circle, building soldering machines under license from Tamura Machinery Singapore, a branch of Tamura Corporation based in Japan. Nutek also supplied the local market with PCB handling equipment, mainly conveyors and loader/unloader systems, which were designed and built in-house.
 
Over the years, business grew steadily as the company gained a reputation for reliable products and innovative designs tailor-made to customer specifications. Nutek has been able to maintain its position as a global leader in the production of automated systems for the electronics-related industry because of strong dedication to making quality and innovative products that help clients operate more effectively and efficiently.
 
  Milestones
 
1989
 Nutek Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore.
     
  1990 Nutek entered into an Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) business with Tamura to build soldering machines under license from Tamura Machinery Singapore, a branch of Tamura Corporation based in Japan.
 
     
  1992 Nutek secured an exclusive agent contract with Reptronics Benelux BV (now known as Nutek Europe), to supply PCB Handling Equipment to the European market.
 
     
  1995 Nutek secured an Orginal Design Manufacturing (ODM) business arrangement with Assembleon Americas (formerly known as Philips EMT Americas) to design and build products under their brand name "Lynx".
 
     
  1996 Nutek entered the Australia and New Zealand market by securing an exclusive distributorship agreement with Hawker Richardson Pty Ltd
 
     
  2001 Nutek acquired its own 3-storey building with a built-up area of 130,000sq ft at 39, Joo Koon Circle, Singapore.
 
     
  2002 Nutek acquired the entire ownership of Nutek USA Inc., a company incorporated in Longmont, Colorado. The company was reorganized and the name changed to Nutek Americas Inc.
     
  2003 Nutek acquired a 75% stake in Nutek China Limited in order to establish a stronger market presence in China. The company has a registered office in Hong Kong and a branch office in Shanghai.
